How much does lawn care cost?
The rate is $75 per person, per hour from April to November, and $64 per person, per hour from December to March for recurring customers. Mowing is recurring only, with a $60 minimum per visit. It is billed by the hours actually worked on site, from arrival to finish, so a two-hour visit with a two-person crew is four hours of labour. How many hours a property needs depends on its size and condition, which is why we confirm the scope and what it will come to before any work starts.
Do I have to sign up for recurring service?
Yes. Mowing is recurring only, on a weekly, biweekly or monthly schedule, with no contract to sign. Booking online schedules the first visit. Recurring mowing runs inside Loop 610 and in Meyerland, Bellaire, Memorial and the Memorial villages, Spring Branch, the Heights and the neighbourhoods north of it, and Cypress.
Do you service commercial properties?
Yes. Luxury Landscaping works on both residential and commercial properties.
Should my lawn be cut weekly or every two weeks?
Through the Houston growing season most lawns need cutting weekly, so that too much leaf is not removed at once. Through the cooler months every two weeks is usually enough. We will tell you what your grass actually needs rather than selling you the larger schedule.
Do you fertilize, aerate and overseed?
Yes. Fertilization, aeration and overseeding are part of lawn care, billed at the same hourly rate as the rest of it. What a lawn needs and when depends on the grass type, so we will tell you rather than put everything on a fixed programme.
Does lawn care include the flower beds?
No. Lawn care covers mowing, edging and blow-down. Bed work, pruning and seasonal colour are covered by Gardening, and the two can be scheduled together on the same visit.
